Victoria Beckham is an English celebrity who is most famous for her part in the girl band "Spice Girls". For this reason, she is also known as Posh Spice. Beckham is also a fashion designer, author, model, actress and businesswoman. She was born April 17th, 1974 in Harlow, Essex and grew up in Goffs Oak Hertfordshire in an affluent family. Beckham was embarrassed because of her family's wealth and was teased at school for it.

When she was 17, Beckham went to the Laine Theatre Arts College in Surrey to study dancing and modeling. In 2004, Victoria Beckham (then Victoria Adams, her maiden name) was accepted in the girl group "Spice Girls" which featured four other girls. The group had been formed through a classified ad in "The Stage". "Spice Girls" was a huge international hit, especially with young teen girls. Victoria was given the name Posh in the band because she was very elegant and refined, especially in her style of clothes. "Spice Girls" sold over 55 million records in the 1990s.

After the group split apart, Beckham decided to pursue a solo career. She was successful despite a very competitive pop chart at the time. Her music started out as pop but later Beckham incorporated hip hop into her style. In 2001, Beckham also released an autobiography called "Learning to Fly". "Spice Girls" reformed in 2007 for a comeback tour.

By this time, Victoria Adams had already become Victoria Beckham from when she married the football player David Beckham in 1997. The couple had three sons together, born in 1999, 2002 and 2005. Victoria Beckham has also worked in television and has her own fashion line. With all her work and her marriage, she is the 52nd richest woman in Britain.
